BILLING POLICY
Lesson fees are charged on the 1st of each month with the credit card that you choose to keep on file.
The charges will recur on the 1st of each month until you notify us that you would like to cancel your lessons. You must cancel your lessons before the 1st of the month in order to not be charged for the month of lessons. The month you notify us of your cancellation will be considered your final month- we hope that you can finish out the remainder of the month, but no refunds will be given if you are unable to make the remaining lessons. Cancellations received after the first of the month will not be refunded.
LESSON TUITION
30 min lessons: $150 per month
60 min lessons: $280 per month
Annual membership fee: $35 individual/ $50 family
All the lesson packages are a flat monthly rate regardless of if there are 3, 4, or 5 classes per month. The school is based on a 48-week year, so students will average 4 classes per month. There is no additional charge for months with 5 lessons and no credits on the rare occasion that there are 3 lessons due to a holiday.

CANCELLATIONS/MAKEUP LESSONS
Here at Strum University, we offer unlimited make up lessons! We realize that life happens and want to make things as easy on you as possible. We do not issue credits for missed lessons, but if you do need to miss a lesson for any reason, you are able to book a spot in one of your teacher’s Make Up classes.
Each teacher has one or more 30-minute blocks of time built into their schedule each week that they use as a make up time. These sessions are booked through our website and must be registered for at least 24 hours in advance of the session. These are opportunities for the student to be able to make up any session that they needed to miss for any reason! We ask that you text or email us as soon as you know if you are unable to make your lesson so we can let your teacher know!
In the rare event that an instructor needs to miss a lesson, either a substitute instructor will fill in, or the lesson will be cancelled, and you will be issued a credit towards your next month’s fee.
Make up classes only expire when you are no longer a student at Strum. Please take all make up classes owed prior to the last day of your last month of lessons. Click here to book a makeup class.
EVENTS & PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
We offer many different types of workshop events and performance opportunities here at Strum University. All these events are included in the cost of your tuition!
Workshops are usually instrument specific events where students are given a chance to dive deeper into a certain topic or idea.
Open Mics are where students can get on stage and perform in front of a small audience here at the studio.
Twice a year we do Student Showcases- these are larger scale events held outside of the studio where students can perform to a bigger audience!
All these events are tons of fun, but none are required! Your teacher will be able to help you decide when you/your student are ready to participate!
